When Worlds Collide - World #2

The Eskimo peered out of his igloo as a soft wind rippled the water. It was going to be cold again, thought the Eskimo as he retreated back into his igloo. Settling down on a chair made of ice, he sighed heavily.

Several years ago, the Eskimo - formally called the Sandman - grew tired of living in a beach house and decided to move somewhere colder. And now, five months after he had migrated to new scenery, the Eskimo was bored again. He had a reputation for being easily excitable yet hard to please. Every six months or so, the Wanderer - for that was his nickname in his town - would move to a different location, seeking new adventures.

In the long run he was a loser in the making, always failing at life wherever he went. But the Wanderer never minded, he actually enjoyed the challenge of finding a new home twice a year. Sometimes, however, he would become lonely. Always greeting new neighbors, always seeing something different out his window, never staying long enough to make friends.

You shouldn't pity the fellow for he had made one close friend who always stayed by his side: Johnny the puppy. Johnny was a faithful dog, never wanting to desert his owner for a more stable life. Personally, Johnny believed his life with the Wanderer to be fascinating.

  1. Wow--neat that you started with that little igloo on the world and went from there. Wonder where else this might go when you bring his dog into the mix.
