After Peer Editing

Good morning everyone!

Peer editing was on Friday and once again peer editing helped make my final story way better than the rough draft. I was paired up with Yejoon and Lea, two awesome editors. Yejoon gave me happy comments and smiles while Lea picked up on some stuff I totally missed and also complimented my story. Yay friends! :)

I always feel more satisfied with my work once others have proofread it with new eyes. Without peer editing, the world would die. Just kidding! But seriously, without it authors around the world would be smacking themselves on the forehead right now because they mixed up "their" and "there."

Overall it was another great experience and I'm looking forward to next week's peer editing. :D

Editing Lea's Story

OMG HER STORY WAS EPIC, AWESOME, JAW-DROPPING, SPECTACULAR, BLA BLA BLA!! While searching for grammar mistakes, I kept thinking of my own story and the - cough - plentiful mistakes I probably made.

I didn't really suggest a lot of content changes as the original SHOULDN'T BE CHANGED OR I'M GONNA GET VIOLENT. Just kidding, just kidding. Sort of.

Every time I peer edit, it makes me more aware of changes I need to make or how I can improve. It also makes me ecstatic to know I'm helping someone out. Even if it's Lea. Nah, just kidding. I liked helping her out a lot because she's my best friend!! Yay best friends!! :D

It's also fun to know that what you're looking at is not the finished project but a masterpiece in the making. Exciting! And it always makes me happy to see people taking my advice and making changes. NINJA GLOMP! Don't ask.

That's all for now, folks! Catch you on the flip side!

Pre-Peer Editing

Okay, just a heads up for everyone.

I'm just about to peer edit my 2nd short story and I'm super excited! I predict peer editing will go smoothly, with tons of helpful advice. I hope to improve my story ten-fold and help others, perhaps?
